Lakeside Baptist Church operates and serves the community through a Recreation Centre. The buildings are wholly owned by the Church.  Since it opened in 1992 it has developed into a very successful, well known and highly respected service to the community.  People from toddlers to senior citizens benefit from the range of sporting, leisure and gymnasium programs which are offered.  It has excelled in basketball and is now one of the premium basketball clubs in WA.  We are pleased that the WA Baptist Basketball Association use our buildings each Saturday.  Our service to the community does not stop at the gate.  Basketball classes are conducted in about 30 schools in our area.  To enhance the ministry of our work we appointed Anthony Palmieri as our Sports Pastor in January 2006.  We understand this is the first appointment of its kind in Australia.

As you can imagine normal church is not normal.  For morning worship we meet in Court 1 at 9:30am and our evening program runs from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in "The Foyer" .  Friendliness and pastoral care are important to us.  Our Small Group ministry deepens our friendships and enables us to be nourished in our faith.  These are available for all ages from early High to Senior Cits.  The Church provides a wonderful environment for family life and so there is a strong emphasis on children and youth ministry.  Our major mission enterprise is the ministry which operates through the Rec Centre but nonetheless we believe every church should be involved in world mission.   In our church we do this through a group called Beyond The Gate. Lakeside is a Church where you will find friendship and love, with boundless opportunities to serve our Lord.

The Lakeside Baptist Church owns and manages the Lakeside Recreation Centre.  The Church holds the licence for the Lakeside Lightning which competes in the State Basketball League (Basketball WA).
