The Lakeside Fitness Centre is community based, and full of everyday people.

There is no pretence or pressure, and people from every walk of life are welcome! There is equipment and classes available to suit people at every level of fitness.

Every class is fun, motivating, and designed by our fully qualified instructors to get you moving and help you reach your fitness goals. 

 

SENIORS AT LAKESIDE FITNESS CENTRE

A safe and effective 60-minute session perfect for over 50s. 

Our Seniors classes are created with the health of Seniors in mind.

They focus on building strength and skills that help with Balance, Living Independently for Longer, Bone Density, and Movement.

Join a thriving, active community where you can keep fit, stay healthy, and socialise in a fun environment.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

Looking to reach your fitness goals but needs some extra support and encouragement in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment? Then our group fitness classes are for you!!

Relax and reduce stress as you go through breathing techniques that you can use in your busy everyday life. Our instructor will take you through exercises and poses designed to strengthen and tone muscle groups, incorporating flexibility, strength, endurance, coordination, and balance. You will leave feeling lighter and energized with a wonderful sense of well-being.
Designed to help you improve your cardio fitness, no matter what fitness level you are. With different option levels available, you will burn calories lose weight and tone muscles. Using a work-to-rest timer the 45 minutes will fly past helping you to feel like a fitter stronger version of yourself.
Get stronger more sculptured muscles and gain flexibility and balance. Improve posture and a better sense of well-being with exercises and poses designed by our highly qualified instructors with option levels available for beginners to the experienced member.
By targeting different muscle groups through a range of different exercises in the gym on a work-to-rest time ratio, you will improve strength, muscle tone, and cardio endurance. A great way to also learn how to use the gym is with the assistance of our gym instructor. A full-body workout.
Join a boot camp team!!! Work out in a fun team environment designed to increase stamina and strength, with a mixture of bodyweight and weight-bearing exercises incorporating interval and strength training. Improve cardio fitness burn calories and increase muscle tone and strength.
Based on functional strength needed for everyday jobs in your daily life. Gain strength through a lower set of reps with a challenging weight selection. Work on your core strength with added weights to the core session. Increasing your strength with encouragement from working with a team.

SENIOR FITNESS PROGRAM

Here at Lakeside, we have a large number of retirees. We offer more than just an exercise experience. With a welcoming and friendly environment, you will quickly feel a part of our fitness centre community. With classes especially aimed at our seniors to help you work towards your goals in a fun and friendly environment. Join our members for a coffee in our on-site cafe after your class.

Run in our circuit, with a work-to-rest ratio our instructor will take you through a range of exercises designed to improve your balance, cardiovascular fitness, and muscle strength.
Working within our gym our instructor will take you through an exercise program using our gym equipment to improve balance, and muscle strength and help keep your body active. Working on keeping our seniors active and independent for longer. Helping improve cardiovascular health and bone density in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Relax with breathing exercises, tune into your body and feel the wonderful benefits of mental and emotional well-being. Low-impact stretching with the chair as a prop to increase flexibility and reduce the risk of injuries. Incorporating movements to help with joint range of motion and improve balance, instructed by a specialist in senior moment.

Unlimited group fitness classes are included with every gym membership, but if you’d like to join us casually, classes are just $13. No need to sign up, simply turn up, pay at reception, and you’ll be directed to your fitness group (or become a member and get it all included!).
